flourless chocolate torte
If you want the ultimate indulgence in the form of chocolate then this is it. Its my go to easy pudding and its also my favourite chocolate pudding.
All you need to remember is -
100/100/100/100/2
Yup!
Ingredients
100g dark chocolate (I always go for 70% or over)
100g ground almonds
100g sugar (I prefer to use msucavado but any will work)
100g butter
2 eggs
I like to throw in a little bit of coffee - just got some instant coffee granules (approx 1/2 tsp) and stir with a tablespoon of water - et voila!
Method
Start by placing your chocolate and butter into a glass bowl and placing them in a glass bowl over some simmering water in a small saucepan. This process protects the chocolate from the harshness of the heat and prevents it from seizing.
Melt.
When melted, allow to cool slightly and add in the eggs quickly, then the sugar and finally fold through the ground almonds and throw in the coffee.
Stir all together.
Add into a pre lined and buttered springform tin (approx 20cm) and place into a pre heated oven (200 degrees) and cook.
I like mine gooey in the middle so I usually take it out after about 12-15 minutes but if you like yours more done then continue to cook more.
Delicious served with anything creamy - ice cream, cream, creme fraiche, clotted cream, yogurt….etc
